Hearts on Friday Hot Air Balloon

Okay, May is almost done. Let's make this an outstanding weekend. I am looking forward to the weekend. Tonight is the first posting of the new Hot Air Balloon studies. These are oil on small 5x7" wood panel. The evening has grown warm, so imagine the cool breezes of the Hot Air Balloon of Hearts as she drifts across the baby blue sky.

WOW! What do you think about all of these Hot Air Balloon Paintings? Want more? Time to get a bit more completed, and the ones on the easel need to get photographed and posted here as well. At any rate, this is the last of the series that is ready to go. I'll try to get those digital pics ready this weekend. Tomorrow is Friday, and I am ready for another weekend...how about you?

Tired again on Tuesday & Hot Air Balloons

This is a long narrow painting. One of those challenging spaces that was fun to fill.
I am so tired on Tuesday. I need more sleep. But the storms tonight look so fine...to stand outside and watch the cold front come in with colorful clouds and arrogant atmosphere.

Red, White & Blue Hot Air Balloon, Memorial Day

A day of events and ceremony, and those bittersweet visits to the National Cemetery in Texas. A sober day.

More Hot Air Balloons on Saturday Night

What a day. Spent a lot of time with the daughter. She helped me pick out some new suitable clothes for fun and travel. A break in the day, then I helped her with a wedding shoot. She must be enchanted. On this wedding shoot, when she wanted the sun to shine- well, it shined. When she wanted a cloud to come between her and her subject, to give exquisite shade and lighting-well, that is just what happened. It was a delight to watch, and to help. But, now I am exhausted and it is time for bed. The 24" square oil rendering of the Hot Air Balloon entitled "Zoopendous" is tonight's listing.

Missing Hot Air Balloon Painting posted on Friday Night

I know this was posted once or twice. I do not know what happened to it, but let's try to get it up there again on this Friday night. It has been a tough week, and there are tougher days ahead. I've got ideas, I've got a passion, I have a dream that I have delayed for over 20 years. The Financial Planners don't recommend the course I am about to take, but it does not matter anymore-this course of life actually CHOSE ME. Tonight's posting is the horizontal version of the inflation. This is the 24x 36" oil on canvas, titled "Looking In, H". Hope it makes sense.

Inside the Hot Air Balloon Ascent on Thursday

Confused tonight. Seem to be having some difficulties getting my posting this evening. Had a bit of trouble getting this to post. Will try one more time...but before I do, kudo's to a big company. Now that is different, isn't it? Our modem went kaput and no internet for a few days, but Verizon came through and got us back on our feet pretty quickly. Yeah! Not the usual trend with a big company, thank goodness as we rely on our access. Tonight's posting is a vertical version of the Tuesday posting (although the Tuesday posting seems to have disappeared, very confusing)- anyway, this is a 24 x 36" oil on canvas titled "Looking In, V".

Hot Air Balloons on a Manic Monday

Just a quick Monday posting...a "16x20" oil painting of the Hot Air Balloons all lined up and ready to launch. Got to get some ZZZZZ's- getting up at 4am these days. Changing my routine, changing my life, changing my schedule. Change is good!

Fab Friday

Yahoo! It is the weekend. Quick post this evening-a matted and framed pastel on paper about 22x28".

Can we be positive? I need more positive around me. Seriously. The Hot Air Balloon Series is pretty positive. Hanging them up in a place where the world is challenging and sad is positive. Making a sale every once in a while is a positive. Enjoy these bright colors, and if you want to see them in person you would need to visit the Denton Regional Hospital and it's Physical Therapy unit. We'll see about transitioning them to a Children or Veteran Hospital next, right? Shoot me an email if you are from one of those places and interested in hanging some Positives! Hey tomorrow is Friday, that's pretty positive!

Halfway thru the Week on Wednesday

Another Hot Air Balloon painting...I have a lot of them. More to come. This is the Inflation. What fun! Not too many words tonight, just the painting - an acrylic on 22x28" canvas.

Hot Air Balloons & I am Tired on Tuesday

I've been changing my life this month. Changing my schedule, my routine. I am getting up at 4:30am now, and getting some exercise before biking on to the Day Job. I don't stay up until 2am anymore. I am trying to work on my discipline and routine, and improve my schedule. I should be painting and marketing my art full-time, very soon. I need to get and set my goal card. Well, anyway, tonight is another night for a Hot Air Balloon Painting. You know all the paintings you see on this Blog are for sale. Shoot me a comment or an email when you decide which one you want, or if you would prefer a limited edition giclee print-that is also available. Support your local Small Businesses. Support an Artist. This painting is a 24 x 36" titled "Hagar the Horrible", named for that prominent Orange Balloon.

Monday night. Nothing to say-let's watch the Hot Air Balloons fill up with Hot Air and just take off. This is a view from the top,eh? This is a framed, oil on 24x30" canvas.

More Hot Air Balloons on Mother's Day - Sunday Evening

The daughter came by and helped me around the house and the studio today. It was so outstanding! Now everything looks so good, I think I can get my heart behind that new series of paintings. Just the same-we shall continue with the postings of all the Hot Air Balloon Series. Today's posting is a 30z40" acrylic on canvas. A really sweet painting with lots of detail, but it has been around for a while, so if someone wishes to hang this lovely painting on their wall, a barter will be considered, so contact me for bartering options and ideas.

Launch Watch - Saturday Evening

Let's see- been a busy few days. Regular 8-5 gig, then prepping for the Street Fair in Fort Worth...the Buffalo Boogie. Started out HOT- and humid, then this morning cool front salvation. Great day for a festival and a long fund-raising walk. Let's get back on track with the Hot Air Balloon paintings though! This painting is called "Cotton Candy Kids" and depicts some little squirts with a great seat to watch the Hot Air Balloon launch. The painting is 16x20".

Hot Air Balloons 2 on Wednesday Night

Just the painting tonight. Migraine wiped me out today so I am speechless. We'll let the painting speak for itself. This is a pastel painting of a lady in blue, watching the Hot Air Balloons launch on an early morning.

Hot Air Balloons 1 on Tuesday Evening

Great weekend, but took the wind out of my sails. Been busy ever since. It is definitely time to begin the Hot Air Balloons Series. This series of paintings are currently hanging in the Physical Therapy department at Denton Regional Hospital. This one is a 16x20" oil painting.
